As mentioned on our About Us page, this was added in 1998. This was opened on 18th September by the Hon. Harry Woods, MP.
Research
Our volunteer research staff will be pleased to assist visitors with family history and other local historical information.
This department has well over 30,000 indexed records of local names and events together with family histories, birth, death and marriage indexes, cemetery records, many photographs and copies of local newspapers dating back to 1859 and much more.
Fees are charged for Research depending on the amount of information available. We send out an Invoice with our posting. Prompt attention is assured.
Please complete the Research Form and Email or Post it to us.
Procedure for Payment
When your request is received the Society will notify you, by email or phone, with the cost and give you an invoice number.
Payment can then be made by cheque or Direct Deposit. Please quote the invoice number when you pay.
Research Charges
$20 plus copying - 30c per A4 & 50c per A3 sheets.
